  • 1.  Error adding Host to VC

    I have 3 hosts. The were all n the same cluster, but the VC server had problems and I wasn’t able to properly remove 2 of the Hosts from the Cluster.

    Now I have a new VC with a new DB, but I am unable to add the 2 hosts to the cluster. I get the following error “a general system error occured: internal error” on one host and get this error on the other “a general system error occurred”.

    I have deleted the vpxuser on both hosts and I have stried the FQDN and the IP address, but still doesn't work.

    Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong?

    I have checked all over the forums, but have not found an answer.

    Is vpxa installed on the ESX host (rpm -qa | grep vpxa)?. Is it running? Ar there any errors in the vpxa logs? (/var/log/vmware/vpx/vpxa*.log)
