Effect of Tanzu architecture on vSphere vCentre

Hi,

would like to understand the effect of Kubernetes architecture that VMware is moving towards on vSphere vCentre. Will it have any effect on vcsa functionality and the existing vendor plugins that gets registered with vSphere vCentre server?

Thanks

Hey ecdcimbreddy,

Not at all it will not restrict any functionality but provide new ones. The servers will enable the vspherelet module that is VMware's version of the kubelet one.

Actually that is the good thing of vSphere for Tanzu, having the ability to run Kubernetes and Virtual Machines on the same environment.

All existing functionality remains as is, no issues.
