ESX4.1i VMs, vCenter Server trial - version?

Hi,

Running a couple ESX4.1i servers and want to download the trial of vCenter Server prior to upgrading from free versions. The only download I can find/get to on the site is a 60 day trial of version 5. If I'm buying a 4.1 Essentials license can I use vCenter 5? If not how can I try the 4.1 version before buying? Is there a link to earlier version trial downloads?

all 60 day evaluations will be for the latest release. So, to get a 4.1 version, you'll need an active SnS.  As to your licensing quesiton, you can downgrade the vSphere5 licenses to vSphere4, then upgrade again when you are ready to go to vSphere5. All licensing information can be found in your license portal.
