ESX hosts dropping out of vcentre after re-iping of VC server

Hi

We recently re-iped our virtual centre server to merge it into our new environment and since this all the esx hosts connected to it keeping dropping out of virtual centre. We followed the standard steps and have removed the esx hosts from the environment and readded them so that they will get the new ip address of the VC server but after about a minute or two the machine turns to not responding. We have also tried a fix we found on the VMware knowledge base of editing the vpxa.cfg file and editing the ip address and trying to reconnect it but after a while the old ip address is reinserted into the cfg file. Does anyone know a way around this/have had this problem before and know the solution. We have logged a ticket with VMware support but obviously we want the environment back ASAP and don;t wish to wait around for them to call us back. We are on the latest install of virtual centre and all but one of our esx servers are vsphere if this matters.

Thanks

Thanks. The problem was actually the setting of the vcentre managed ip. We changed this in the vi client by going to administration>vcentre server settings and clicking on runtime settings , here we realised this was incorrect and changed it then re-added the esx hosts to the infrastructure and they are all now working.

I've attached the screen shot of where i changed it if anyone ever comes across this and can't find it.
