ESX host in a VMware High Availability cluster fails to enter maintenance mode and stops at 2%

I have two host esx (3.5 U 4) in VCenter update 4

Both the ESX server are in a cluster (HA/DRS configured )

When we try to enter one of the host in maintenance mode its fails at 2% and when we look into the events its simply gives a error msg. " unable to automatically migrate the vm to other host".

Checked the (kb 1007156 )with says Its was bug with older version of VC but as we are using latest version so need assistance.

Make sure you can manually vMotion all VMs on that host - I will bet one of them is using some local resources preventing DRS from migrating it to another host in the cluster -

Probably you have some VM that could not be moved with VMotion.

A common problem is a CD connected to a ISO image on a local datastore.

Try the hint, and manually verify VMotion for each VM.
