Does anyone dual-home (or provide separate vlan connections for) their vCenter servers? One vlan connection would be for incoming VIC connections and the other would be for ESX host connecitivity.
Thanks...
I've seen it done before, like when the hosts are in a bubble. You have to be careful when setting up the hosts that they try to access the host through the internal IP and tell Update Manager to use the same IP. so, don't rely on DNS for name resolution when installing.
It is possible.
Or you can simple use NAT on vCenter Server
But you can have some problems when you open the VM console, cause you must be able to reach the ESX (and not only the vCenter).
