I am in the process of move virtual center server and the license server to a different physical server. The new server will be using vCenter 2.5 U3. I would like to leave the existing VC server online while I am completeing the configuration on the new vCenter server. My question is, can I have both servers online at the same time without causing any licensing issues.
It should not be a problem - one thing to keep in mind your ESX servers can only be managed by one VC server at a time -

Thank you. I do not plan to point the ESX host to the new server until the configuration completes and the old one gets turned off.
