i have installed Vcenter 6.5 B using VMware-VIM-all-6.5.0-5178943.iso image.
after adding source by domain account and assign administration permissions to domain/administrator.
i still get message, you dont have permission to access this page. even domain administrator have full role access
can any one help me.
Did you assigned permission to the vCenter Server or just the SSO, remember that you should add permission to vCenter? Anyway, check if the following is related to your problem: http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2017/03/vsphere-6-5b-prevents-vsphere-web-client-logins-for-users-wo-...

Hi Guys,
I have the same issue here, i have vCenter 6.5 installed, even making a fresh installation, I am getting this issue, can't see my Global Permission or Licenses with a domain user account, only with local Administrator@vpshere.local I can see everything.
I tried this KB, but no success:
Any other clue to fix this?
Regards.
I have the same issue and have had a ticket open for the last week. I have done a fresh install of 6.5e (latest build) and still have the same issue. Everything seems to be fine until I add Active Directory, restart VCenter and then no more roles, permission, changes to permissions.
This all started on my 6.0 version upgrade to 6.5d, corrupted the database and tech support had me restore the DB or I could build a new 6.5. My environment is not that big so i decided to to a fresh install of 6.5d.
I and Tech support have tried all the know fixes with no luck. No resolution yet except to reinstall fresh and use only local account for Vcenter.
Hi Ahmedbk,
I opened a support ticket and they told me that fo Active Directory Integrated, this options it's not working, you will get that you do not have access to see it.
The solution they gave to me and worked, was migrating the SSO Authentication from ACTIVE DIRECTORY INTEGRATED to ACTIVE DIRECTORY LDAP.
After doing that, I started to login with my Domain User and have the access to everything with my user.
For me worked, good lucky!
