Is anyone aware of a way to disable the SSL certificate checks between vCenter and the hosts? We do not use SSL in our environment. However, the vpxd log files on the vCenter server are constantly bombared with hundreds of messages like the following:
2010-02-23 18:18:35.179 06808 warning 'Libs' SSLVerifyCertAgainstSystemStore: The remote host certificate has these problems:
2010-02-23 18:18:35.179 06808 warning 'Libs' SSLVerifyCertAgainstSystemStore: Certificate verification is disabled, so connection will proceed despite the error
This causes the logs to fill up and roll over very quickly and unnecessarily. Yes, I could turn down the logging level so that warnings aren't logged. But then I'd miss other valid warnings. I could also go through the hassle of deploying certificates. A needless task that doesn't really buy me anything aside from making the warnings stop. I'd rather just disable the check all together.
Any ideas?
