Hi,
I'm very new to VMware and Vsphere. I'm using vSphere 4.0 with ESXi 4 (I think). I managed to create a snapshot via the scheduled task in vSphere and I get a new one each day; however I'd like to only keep one or two days worth of snapshots. Can the scheduled task be set to delete snapshots after they're a day or two old. Again, I'm super new VMware and vSphere and would appreciate any help that can be provided for the simplest solution. (Hoping that this can be done from the GUI somewhere)
Thanks in advance
Although it is possible to schedule creating snapshots, I'm afraid there's no option to schedule their deletion.
André
Are you looking for a scripted solution with PowerCLI ?

Since I'm a super noob I'd prefer a method via the gui; but tell me if the command line is the only way. I've been searching but I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right places. Thx
LucD,
In Looking at the info for PowerCLI it look like It's for vSphere 5. Will It work with vSphere 4?
Thanks for your help.
PowerCLI also works with vSphere 4, have a look at the release notes.
If you prefer I can move your thread to the vCenter Community, you probably have more chance to find a possible GUI-based answer there.
