    What does the default alarm does?

    It just changes the health icon of the object to yellow or red, depending on the level reached. by default it doesn't do more than that. but if I'm not mistaken you could have seen that by editing the alarm object.

    Hi,

    Alarm can setup at different levels. You can check the definition this alarm using the alarm tab of selected objects. The alarm setting defines the reason for trigger the alarm in Triggers tab. Whenever the situation arrives for alert this alarm get trigger and converting to red/yellow. If any action defined in the alarm it would perform the same.

    Alarms are being created for the notification that something is happening in the system which you need to know to take appropriate actions on the same.

    No actions defined on the default alarms so it just changes the icons attached to the object whenever the threshold (defines in the alarm) occurs.
