Database permission error

Why Am i getting this permission error to access a remote db? I already created a db on a remote sql 2005 server and granted the user vcenter-sa dbo owner

check this KB, http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1003052 , you may be missing MSDB permissions as well.

how do I add the user to be a db owner to the msdb database?

ask your DBA to look at the KB, or if you have access to SQL Management Studio and proper rights, you can do it.

right click on the DB usernmane, go to user mapping and put a check mark next to msdb, ensure the proper user is listed and in Default Schema add dbo

yes. You need to install the SQL Native Driver onto your vCenter Server. Configure your ODBC System DSN to use the Native Client Driver.
