This is probably my 6th or 7th attempt at this upgrade. After reading the documentation, communities, websites, etc. I've refrained from asking the question. I've worked through several firstboot errors and finally its come to this error 'Database in-place upgrade failed'. What's worse is that its asking me to look into Please see vcdb_inplace.err and vcdb_inplace.out for details.
But where are those logs? Its not under the sessions folders. Is it on the old virtual appliance or the new one? The vmware KB asks me to download SQL express and connect to the database to check permissions. but I only have the embedded database. I am not a database guy...Help please!
