DRS/HA Cluster - putting an ESX host in Maintenance mode causes VM's to restart

I have a wierd problem here, we recently consolidated our ESX environmentss from two datacenters to one and in the process moved all our VM's from ESX 3.x VC2 to ESX 3.5 update 3 and VC2.5. now in my 3 node cluster whenever I put a host into Maintenance mode it migrates the VM's off to the other two hosts but in the process several of my VM's restart. they are a mix of Windows 2003 and 2008 servers, the one linux server I have is not effected. The strange thing is the only VM's that seem affected are the ones we migrated into the cluster VM's we build brand new do not have this issue. Any ideas out there. Thank you in advance.

Is "Virtual Machine Monitoring" enabled in your HA config?

If so, is the sensitivity high or low?

It is enabled and is set to medium (it is in the middle between low and high - restart if heartbeat isnot received within 2 minutes and restart after first 3 failures every 24 hours)

Disable it.

I think there is a bug with ESX 3.5 U3 and this setting.
