DPM and server monitoring

Hi, we like most of you monitor our servers health status with third party tools. Unfortunately if we turn on DPM when a server is sent into standby mode we will be alerted that the system has gone down.

Is there a way in which we could run a script only when a server was to go down due to DPM? We could use this to call a 'black-out' routine to prevent our invalid alerts.

Thanks

I would like something like this as well. A way to run a script before a host goes in to suspend mode, passing the hostname of the ESX host to the script.

For now I have just taken the hosts out of our monitoring tool (Nagios) and and set VC to alert when host status is disconnected so we still know if there is a problem.
