Customization Wizard could not change administrator password

Hi,

i am currently migrating our farm to vSphere. On the new farm i create new template but i got a problem. When i try to deploy a new VM via Customization Wizard the operation successed but on reboot i got an error at logon. Even if i select Autologon the VM do not recognize new password and stop.

Any suggestion?

what is the guest OS? ...and there is a 26 character limit in the customization process.

Also, if W2k8, and you change the local administrator to anything other than "administrator", the VMware Customization process changes it back to administrator. This may be part of the problem. This is a know issue and is being addressed, I believe in 4.1.

Guest OS is W2k3 R2. I copy the Sysprep folder tree from VC3.5 where all works fine. The user is local administrator.

no, this is for the password. And you are not renaming the administrator account?

Hello,

If you have a problem with the administrator, try making a new account with administrator privileges like admin and put the compex password.

The if you have a problem with the real account password, you can enter with admin, change the administrator password and try if they works.

In this workaround you can determine if the customization wizzard is the real problem ( i guess no).
