Is there a way to create new Scheduled Tasks in Virtual Center? I know when we installed the plugin for VUM it added it own, but we would love to create one that would install the new VMTools or some other tasks.

Can this be done?

I think that I didn't word what I wanted to do right. We want to create new tasks in the drop down that you choose from. So besides, Change the power state of a virtual machine / Create a virtual machine template / etc + the ones that VUM added - Scan for Updates / Remediate, we would like to make some new ones.

I think you will have to take a look at the SDK to modify the VI Client menu options -
