I try to do the convergence from the web UI with 6.7.0.40000 Build 14367737

I have a couple of VCS/PSC on two sites and replication between each PSC

The process succed on first couple, the second failed on step below

I think i'm exactly in that case : VMware Knowledge Base

so I disable TSO and GSO as explained on both PSC (source and replicat embedded previously converged)

But know, how can I restart the process ? should I restore backup ?

Another question, since the first converge succeed I haven't yet decommission it, I expect to do that after full convergence, but doesn't know the best practice.

If you have a snapshot or backups post the first converge successful or restore else you need to restore to first stage

I must restore a snapshot and can't more access to the log files.

So I have actualy one site upgraded and converged that run smoothly with acces to the other site !

And the other site that dosen't see the first one. I'll try to restart update nearly.

Darvid did you ever have any luck with this? I get the exact same convergence failure as you, but repeated attempts to change settings such as turning off TSO still land me with the same error message.

Hello jphinner,

You need to check if you are hitting the same issue. If you have logs and I can review and let you know the actual problem.. 6.7 update 3a has major issues resolved if you are trying..

same issue even after turning off tso and gso on all vm's 2 psc 2 vcsa. same error. I've been trying to converge this environment for months because vmware says it's deprecated. Why don't they give us a tool that works? wasted hours on this

Can you share the log bundle for converge failure node I can check if you are hitting the same issue or new one? Have you opened a support request with vmware

We also had same issue and fixed using below method

Login into VAMI(https://vcentername:5480)

Click on Update->click on settings and change settings from Use default repository to Use customer repository (Use some dummy URL)

Click Save

Then attached your VCSA ISO image to VCSA VM

Then try to converge PSC to embedded

Have tried several times to do the converge process, all failing at some point. Tried this method from shankarsingh and it finally worked. There were some non fatal errors in the logs, but it completed successfully.

After a failed merge and revert to the snapshot on vCenter, I have in the psc topology one more, not working psc (on vCenter).

From GUI my vCenter is presented as embedded, so this way I can't repeat this installation (with a stupid repository). I want to delete replication and psc (vdcrepadmin removeagreement and cmsso-util unregister), but I'm almost sure, my vCenter will be damaged as a bonus of "unregister".

Removing embedded psc is general performed by "cmsso-util reconfigure --repoint-psc" on vCenter, but my vCenter is already pointing the right psc ...

Hi,

After my failed merge, my vCenter was presented as embedded too. This was because I didn't revert the PSC snapshot. After that, everything gets exactly the same before the failed merge.

I had issues with update manager, solved with a PSC and vCenter reboot.
