Constantly bombarded with popup error,"Input string was not in a correct format"

After upgrading from VC 2.0.2 to 2.5 about half our 2.5 clients would constantly get this "Input string was not in a correct format" popup message everywhere they clicked in VC. The functionality of the client seemed okay (users could use VC to view the VM consoles, for example) aside from this annoying error message.

Thanks to rpoindex the fix was easy. Thought I'd post it here because the fix was in a post that sounded like it may not have been related (the orinigal post was for a Vista problem). Basically of everyone who had Windows XP, a significant percentage of them had this error (Win2000Pro clients seemed all okay). Here was the fix for the XP Pro desktops:

1) Close your VirtualCenter Client GUI completely

2) Open the Regional and Language Options applet from the Control Panel.

3) Note the Current Format.

4) Change the Current Format from the dropdown menu to English (Australian)

5) Click Apply.

6) Change the Current Format to the noted format, eg, English (United States).

7) Click Apply and then click OK.

Here's the Microsoft KB article outlining the issue and the fix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942460
