Clean up VUM Database

Has anybody figured out how to clean patches out of the VUM database? I know that I can just delete them but that would seem to just create orphaned rows in the VUM db.

I should add that I would rather avoid having to manually clean out the VUM database if possible.

This is one of my peeves about VUM. I put in feature request about this when it was first introduced. I guess I should try again. There is no way to manage the patches. You cant initiate a redownload or remove unneeded patches. That and the default of the all users profile directory for the patches... The only way I have found is to run the installer again and select to reinitialize the database. This will only be a choice if you have a VUM DB that is separate from the VC DB.
