Changing administrator@vsphere.local password

Hi,

I know I can do this (I've done it before) but now cannot find it. When in vCenter Server Management (port 5480), I can login with either

administrator@vsphere.local

or

root

When logged in as root I have an administration tab that allows me to change its password.

I cannot find where to change the administrator@vsphere.local password. I thought was under the account menu in the top-right but all I have is "logout".

Strangely, it seems I CAN now change the root password when logged in as administrator@vsphere.local when I'm certain I couldn't before, so maybe I just need a vacation.

How do I change the administrator@vsphere.local password?

Thanks,

Jeff

Don't login to the appliance management interface . Do it directly from vCenter itself.

Login to your vcenter.blah/ui as administrator@vsphere.local

Click the drop down for the username top right and select change password. Just like the screenshots you posted
