Change vcenter server datastore without vmotion storage

I have vcenter essential plus licensing and am running VCenter Server as a vm (4.1.0, 258902); on 2 Dell 790 ESXi hosts, (4.1.0, 381591). I'm moving off of our old NFS datastore to a new NFS datastore. Since essential licencing doesn't include vmotion storage, I'm unsure how to move the vctr server vm files from the old datastore.

Can I just shut down the vctr server and browse old datastore and use the move function?

Welcome to the Community - yes what you describe will work as long as the ESX host you are connecting to can see both NFS datastroes -
