Change the name of the Windows Server

In our lab environment we changed the actual server name (windows 2003) from Lab1 to Lab2, and after a reboot we were unable to access the vCenter server using "localhost". Since this was in the lab, we simply reinstalled after playing with the Data Connections and having no success.

If anyone knows of a standard procedure for doing this it wouild be appreaciated if you could share your insight.

If you change the name of your vCenter server it will mean a reinstall of the program, and a complete reinstallaion of the DB if hosted on the same server
