Change IP of VCSA 7 possible?

I know that is 6.x is was only possilbe when using FQDN during stup of VCSA, but not using IP.

Is this possible now in VCSA 7?

Hi Benjamin,

in 7.0 the system name used during setup is still used as the PNID which causes and issue if you change the IP address (but not the PNID) later.

However, in 7.0 you can also change the PNID now. So you can do the following:

  1. Change the PNID to an FQDN (see Reconfigure the Primary Network Identifier )
  2. Change the IP address (see Configure the DNS, IP Address, and Proxy Settings )

Has anyone tried this since 7.0u2? I'm curious if the vcls cause issues with this as the first step is to turn of HA if running HA. I would assume retreat mode would work, but does it reconnect to the VCSA once turned back on?  Also what if any, is the affect on NSX-v or NSX-t?
