Can vCenter Server version four manage remote ESX servers across a WAN connection?

Can vCenter Server version four manage remote ESX servers across a WAN connection? I have it working but I am curious to know if this is a supported option by vmware.

It is supproted from what I can tell. A good low latency WAN link is the main thing.

My DR and Production are managed from one vCenter across a WAN. I have 2 Datacenters and seperate cluster under each DC for management.
