Can the vmfstools import the rdm formated disk to vmfs formated disk?

Some virtual machines are using the RMD formated disk, can we import it to vmfs formated using the vmfstools?

vmfstoos -l source_disk target disk

Since vmkfstools can create RDMs I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be able to read RDMs.
