Can't see VM folders on the storage

Hey,

I have a farm with 10 hosts sharing the same san storage. I have VMs created on the sotrage running on several of the hosts. I can see that the storage is being used by the VMs, but when I browse the datastores, I cann't see the VM folders with the VMs files. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hi,

If you access the host using putty and change directory to /vmfs/volumes do you see the volumes when you do a ll? then if you change directory to one of the volumes and do a ll do you see the folders for the VM's?

Thank you, that does seem very strange... I take it that if you leave it open for a while it doesn't ever show the folders?

Have you tried rebooting VirtualCenter?

Have you checked that the account you are using to log into VirtualCenter has permissions to the datastores?
