Have you setup the licence for your new ESX server yet?

Configuration > licenced features

You either point to the licence server or use a local licence file.

Virtual Center wont let you create a new VM if it does not have the resources for it. Please check your resources.

It could be a role/permissions problem. What roles/permissions do you have?

Check with roles/permissions, which account you used to log in? Use local administrator to log in, and you will be able to create new VM

Did you also check the ESX Server License Type as well?

Is the ESX host in Maintenance mode?

I hope this information helps you. If it does, please consider awarding points with the 'Helpful' or 'Correct' buttons. If it doesn't help you, please ask for clarification!

hi,

roles and permissions are fine.

the resource allocation is viewing all the CPUs and Memorys are in a 0 MB

also i can't see the option if the host in Maintenance mode or no

however, i can see the option in the other ESX servers

Right click on the host and see what menu is available - enter maintenance mode or exit maintenance mode.

hi and thanks for replying

when i right click on the menue i dont see either enter maintenance mode or exit maintenance mode, they are not in the list. this happened after rebooting the server.and the strange thing is i can see this option on my other esx2 server only now, i mean after installing a new esx3 server and added it to the other existing esx2 servers on vcenter2.

kind regards
