I can successfuly login and manage VMs using web access, but can't connect to VM console.

But I can successfully resolve server name with nslookup using both short name and fqdn.

If your browser uses a proxy, check for an exception for local addresses.
Add a reverse lookup entry in DNS (if you use DNS).
Add the local host IP addresses to the local hosts file.
Have you tried 127.0.0.1 or the LAN IP? Try the LAN IP.

/etc/hosts changed situation. Now it can resolve name and message changed to "Invalid login/password".
Looks like I have submit a couple of SRs.
