Can mount NFS from ESX but not VCenter

I am attempting to mount a NFS datastore, i have followed all the correct steps from this kb article -->

I am able to successfuly mount the NFS folder in my service console. However, from Virtual Center I receive the following

error message: "Error during the configuration of the host: NFS Error: Unable to Mount filesystem: Unable to connect to NFS server"

Any ideas?

To troubleshoot the inability to mount the volume:

# Verify that the ESX Server has been permissions to use the NFS server.

# Verify that any firewalls between the ESX server and NFS device have ports UDP/TCP 111 and 2049 opened.

# Verify that the ESX Server can ping the NFS server. For more information, see [Testing network connectivity with the Ping command (1003486)|http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1003486].

# Verify that the ESX Server can vmkping the NFS server. For more information, see Testing VMkernel connectivity with the vmkping command (1003728).

# Verify that the Server (if it is Windows) is correctly configured for NFS. For more information, see [Troubleshooting adding a data store from a Windows Services NFS device (1004490|http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1004490].

To troubleshoot a mount being read-only:

# Verify the permissions of the NFS server have not been set to read-only for this ESX Server.

# Verify that the NFS share was not mounted with the read-only box checked.</div>

Don't forget to export to the vmkernel interface and not only to service console.
