CD/DVD device unable connect

my problem,

unable connect virtual machine to the local CD/DVD devices when

login user on the local machine (MS Windows OS) is another user than user with

administrators rights. Configuration: acces using vSphere client installed on MS

Windows local machine to vCenter 4.0 server. Thank You very much for

assistance and any idea.

Well is your (customer) CDrom labeled as F? If yes, then it is his CDROM (like in picture). check labels in My Computer.

letter F is label of CDROM devices my local PC, is is ok.

problem with connection to CD/DVD devices is only if I am login to my local computer (MS Windows OS) as a normal user without administrators rights.By

by login as administator user is no problem.

It looks like permissions problem (in VC) . Check to what group does this customer (or customers) belong in Virtual Center. Then check their permissions if they can mount CD

Access to CD/DVD local devices from vSphere client and any virtual machine depend on local windows user name a local policy - system permission local user and local groups only.
