I was thinking about having a backup solution that continiously backs up virtual machines (snaphots) but then I though - why do I need it continuously?
Why not to clone them once and just put them somehwe on the disk and back them up with any software.
We've got 20 VMs why not to CLONE them and keep them on the backup - worst case scenario you copy back the directory that contains vm files, right-click on vmdk file and choose "Add to inventory"?
Yes you have restore and the vmx to the inventory.
For backup you could check VDR.
Award Points if helpful!!
VDR is good tool, the mangement won;t by snapshot license though, so it is out of the question.
