Applying Host Profile causes host 'Not Responding'

Hello,

I am creating our first Host Profile for ESXi 5. I copied one of the existing host's profile, modified it slightly, and applied it to a few VM hosts. Within about a minute the hosts' status goes to Not Responding in vSphere. I can right click and Connect it, and everything begins to work. Alternatively, I can go to the console and restart the management agents. Rebooting the host also works brings its status back to normal.

I am concerned about this behavior and dont want to apply it to all hosts because of this. I have looked in the logs and nothing stands out for me. Is it normal to need to manually restart the management agents? If not, any ideas on what causes this?
