We packaged up a VM as an OVF template. We set some network properties during the deployment itself, using XML properties in the OVF. These properties can't be sent to the VM unless the "VMware Tools" checkbox is on as seen in my screenshot here:https://www.evernote.com/shard/s128/sh/f70e862e-4520-4950-979b-5e95fd95a018/3d98d6448f5566b33d7baa11...
This means we have to deploy the OVF template powered off, then click "edit settings," check the checkbox, and then power on. Fine for us, but confusing for people we give the OVF to.
Is there any way to have the OVF automatically set this option when it deploys itself?
