Another VCB Issue...

I have two VCB questions and hopefully someone can give me a hand as my communication from VMware has been pretty weak.

**Assumptions: everything is setup according to VMware recomendations!

1. When using VCB, can the virtual machines you are backing up be located on a vmfs volume that is extended accross one or more LUNs?

2. One of the requirements for VCB to work is that the LUN numbers have to be the same on both the ESX host and the VCB Proxy. Is it just the LUN numbers which need to be the same, or does the entire path (target number etc) have to be the same as well?

Thanks in advance. Let me know if more details are required to answer my questions.

1. Yes, as long as LUNs in total are presented to the proxy and you are using extents, which is sounds like you are.

2. Just the LUN IDs are required to match.
