After upgrading to 7.0.2.00400

I just upgraded  to 7.0.2.00400, and after the first reboot (which I just decided to do for hygienic purposes) I get this message on the VCSA console:

"login: [FAILED] Failed to start Appliance initialization script.

See 'systemctl status vmbase_init.service'for details."

After this I just did another reboot and it just clean by itself.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Thanks!!

yes, I experienced a similar issue yesterday. The vcenter remained down after the update so I rebooted it and it came back without issue.

Hi nmiklebost !
I actually realize that this very issue might have occurred before this upgrade:
On one of my vCenter instances, before upgrade to 7.0.200400 I checked the VCSA console (Alt + F1) and the messages was there!

Although I never had issues with vCenter booting up or bringing up services properly! Perhaps different circumstances then yours.

Cheers.

i had no problem to update this over the channel, all will works correctly!

A other possibility is to delete the vcenter and install a new and do a new configuration. that is my best experience by having problem in last periods.
