After SAN migration vms report to be slow

A new type of SAN storage has been added to our environment to replace the old SAN storage. After presenting the new datastores and migrating the VMs to them, users report slower performance. What could need to be done to the VM file system to fix this?

Hi,

Have you tried using vscsiStats to check io latency on your VM ?

What did you do so far, and which vSphere/ESXi version do you use?

Did you unpresent tohe old datastores? If yes, did you detach them prior to unpresenting them to avaid e.g. APD conditions.

Did you verify the storage is configured properly (e.g. cache settings, ...) and path the policy is configured following the storage vendor's recommendations? Btw. I assume the storage system is supported by ESXi!?

Hi Rajjab,

I assume the VM's are still running on the Old Block alignment, Reboot the VM to solve this issue
