Adding datastore to two diffrent Vcenter

Can the datastore from ESX3.5 cluster in vcenter 2.5  added to ESXi5 Cluster in vcenter 5.0

I want to present the data stores presented to ESX3.5 hosts clusted using vcenter 2.5 to the ESXi5.0 hosts clustred using new vcenter 5.0 so that same datastores are visible to the old 3.5 servers and well as new 5.0 servers. Is this possible?

Well, you can add the datastore but I wouldn't recommend it since there's a risk of collisions when it comes to the handling of the VMs and configuration.

If you have a seperation of LUNs or NFS folders, so that no storage is actually shared, is should work.
