Adding another server

I installed esx 3.5 demo on a dell 2950 yeaterday and it went well. When I add another dell 2950 I already installed the demo 3.5 on it and now when logon to the client on the

first server I only see that server. Do I need to install virtual Center on the first server in order to add the secon? Thanks again for any help.

In a nutshell I have 2 servers with 3.5 installed on them, would like to play around with moving hosts between them before we buy the license.

Thanks

yes, you willl need a VCMS instance. You can install virtual center on a VM in demo mode and you will be able to use all the features.

Hi,

In order to manage more than one server at a time you need Virtual Center. Virtual Center also gives the ability to do vmotion, drs, ha and so on. So go install

virtual center and play around. Remember you need a san or shared storage on nfs for vmotion.

as Fred pointed out in order to get all the advanced features virtual center offers, you will need shared storage.

You may want to look at Xtravirts Virtual SAN
