Accessing XP VMs through Virtual Center causes perfomance issues........

I am not exactly sure where to post this question but here goes…..

I am having performance issues with XP VMs when I access them through Virtual Center (vCenter). When I use Remote Desktop (RDP) to connect into the guest OS on the VMs I do not have any performance issues it only occurs when I use Virtual Center and open the console view. I do have any of these problems with any of the other non-Windows XP VMs. I have installed the VMware tools and turned up the hardware acceleration setting. Any ideas?

I am using VI3 Enterprise with Virtual Center 2.5.

you could install RVtools on a local desktop and have a look at some counters, maybe the vmtools are very old...
