About vSphere APP HA

Dears,

I am trying to install vSphere App HA,when I deploy it on Web Client,it just doesn't show up on administration-->Solutions

I have tried to deploy many times, but still not get it.

Does anyone have same problem like me, or any good advice ?

And does anyone think Web Client is super slow? it kind of drives me crazy!

BR,

Rocky

RockyHsu,

I believe you have ensured the pre-requisites to deploy HA app.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prerequisites

Your vCenter Server license must include the vSphere App HA feature.

vFabric Hyperic server must be installed on vCenter Server.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If then follow the below steps to configure vSphere HA app,

1 Log in to the vSphere Web Client using the vSphere App HA.Modify credentials.

2 From the Inventory menu, navigate to Administration > vSphere App HA.

3 Click the Settings tab.

4 Type the following parameters to configure the vFabric Hyperic server and click Apply.

vFabric Hyperic Server   Type the IP address or host name of the vFabric Hyperic server.

Port                             Type the number of the secure port for establishing a connection to the vFabric Hyperic server.

Username                    Type the user name of the vFabric Hyperic server.

Password                     Type the password of the vFabric Hyperic server.

5 Approve the vFabric Hyperic certificate.

A connection to the vFabric Hyperic server is established.

Hi dGeorgey,

I have used vCenter 5.0 and vSphere 5.0 Enterprise plus key  to install vcenter 5.5 and esxi 5.5, so that means I can't use vSphere App HA feature,is it correct?

I also have tried to evaluate vsphere 5.x,but I don't find any vcenter key that includes APP HA feature. Any Idea?

Thanks,

Rocky

No you cant.

vSphere App HA Software Requirements

------------------------------------------------------------

vSphere Web Client 5.5.

ESX/ESXi 5.5.0

vFabric Hyperic 5.7.x

Web browser -- All browsers that support vSphere Web Client 5.5

To avail vSphere App HA benefits you require a "Enterprise Plus' license.
