32-bit DSN on 64-bit OS (Yes, I read the KB article already)

I'm trying to install vCenter Server 4 on Server 2003 R2 SP2 x64. I read KB article #1010401, and created a system DSN via %windir%\syswow64\odbcad32.exe . I tested the connection and all tests succeeded.

I restarted the vCenter Server installation process, and it still says that no 32-bit DSNs are available and I need to create one.

Anyone have any ideas? If it makes a difference, the SQL server is SQL 2005 x64.

Did you use the SQL Native driver? I have seen problems not using that.

Yes, that ended up doing it. I assumed the SQL driver that came with Server 2003 R2 SP2 WAS the "native" driver.

I discovered that probably hours before you posted your response. Thanks again!
