Hi,
I'm currently rebuilding one of our ESX 3.5 servers, I obviously want to install it with all of the latest updates, but the 06/16/2008 patches arent in Update Manager yet - anyone else having this problem?
Thanks
DId you reschedule the update to download again?
I've manually run the download scheduled task, and its also run for a
couple of nights now, but its not picking up the new updates for some
reason.
try restarting the Update Manager Service....
Yes - still not showing the latest updates released. Are they showing in
your update manager? Im just wondering if VMware havent updated the
website that update manager connects to?
Yes, we have three VC servers and all have eventually downloaded the patches. Had to restart Update Manager Service on two of them though and once restarted and kicked off a download the patches came straight down - thus my suggestion. Sorry it didn't work for you...!
I had a problem with my proxy and downloads taking a long time, as well as the download task itself.
I deleted the task, and then went into plugin manager, and re-scheduled it and ran it.
Also, I went into the vci-integrity.xml file and changed the recvTimeout from 60 seconds (60000) to ten minutes (600000), and then my downloads were successful. I found that virus scan made it real slow and patches didn't download correctly.

It's finally picked up the new updates.
We didn't change anything - I tried restarting the virtualcentre service
and update manager service a couple of times last week, but that didn't
work. Then, over the weekend, the new patches were automatically picked
up.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
