Hey, everyone. I've just started using Hyperic HQ and am loving it. I've got it on all of my servers (a mixed farm of Windows Server 2000, 2003, and 2008), with the exception of one stubborn Windows 2000 Server. The server is using JRE 6.30 and I am using the "no JRE" Hyperic Agent installer.
The agent installs without problem (using "hq-agent install"). However, when I go to start it ("hq-agent start"), it will give me the "Waiting to start..." message for ~60 seconds, though eventually it will start. Then, rather than starting the setup portion, where I can specify server settings, I get the following error: "Error contacting agent: Error sending argument: Unable to connect to 127.0.0.1:2144: Connection refused: connect, retried 5 times, cmd=agent:ping" If I look at the agent.log file, it eventually repeats the following errors:

Does anyone have any ideas what is going on? I have tried Java 6u29 to see if that helps with the same results and I have tried removing/reinstalling the agent. I would appreciate any ideas that you have. Also, yes, I know that running Server 2000 is a terrible idea, but we should have these servers out of here by the end of the year. In the meantime, I would like to monitor them. Thanks for your help in advance.
