no builtin DB in OS version?

I'm trying to install the newest open source version (hyperic-hq-installer-2.7.0-59-noJRE.tgz), but somehow I'm unable to select the builtin database. The installer only gives me the following choices:
--------------------
Choices:
1: Oracle 8
2: Oracle 9i/10g
3: PostgreSQL
What backend database should the HQ server use? [default '2']:
----------------------

How do I select the builtin database?

Thanks,
Franz

Hi Franz,

The noJRE package is meant to be platform independent, so it does not include a JRE or the pre-compiled Postgres binaries. That is the reason it's not showing up in the list of supported database backends.

Download the installer package specific to your operating system and that should fix the problem. If you are installing on a platform we don't support right now, we can help you through installing Postgres if you need.

Hi Ryan,
thanks for the quick answer. I'll just download the OS-specific package and install this.
It might be a good idea to add this to the (quick) install instructions / FAQ - at least I didn't find this information in there.
