how to install non jre Windows Hyperic Agent?

I'd like to deploy the non jre version of the Windows Hyperic Agent on some machines because there is no applications (Exchange, SQL, Apache, etc.) on the servers that I want to monitor.  I've downloaded the 5.8.4.2 no bundled JRE version, but it's a zip file with what looks to be just the contents of a Hyperic installation but no corresponding installer.  How do you deploay / install the non jre version of the agent that appears to not have a windows installer?

Thank you.

Hi,

In order to run Hyperic agent you need JRE, it's java process.

If you choose to use no-JRE version you should manually install Java on your machine.

i recommend you to use JRE version.

You should unzip the file and in cmd (administrator):

  • agent\bin\hq-agent.bat install  (This will create process)
  • agent\bin\hq-agent.bat start

Thanks,

Yaron
