Hello there!!

Anyone knows if is there a way in the hyperic open source to retrieve more information from the hardware like fan cpu speed, cpu temperature, memory type or number of memory slots?

Yeah - you could use lshw or cat /proc/ and use a perl script to get what you wanted out of it.

Some servers will provide that (dell) in a binary which you could scrape as well.

How can I do the same on windows systems , like XP and 98?
