Windows Event log alert truncate log message

I notice that the alert message reported by hyperic HQ does not contain the entire message as contained in the application Event log in windows. It seems like hyperic truncates the message after a certain length.

is there a way for hyperic to query the entire message or is this a bug ?

I tweaked the agent.properties settings so that
agent.logLevel=DEBUG
I then check the agent log and verified that the agent is sending the entire event log message. however the server log shows only the truncated message.

Are there any setting that can be made on the HQ Server so that the message is not truncated.
