What range is data in Browse Resources?

I was wondering about this in regards to the subject of this thread. For instance, I go to Browse Resources, click on Servers, then select MSSQL 2000 under View.

I'm wondering what range those number represent? I'm talking about Active Transactions, Lock Requests Per Minute, Lock Waits per Minute, and Transactions per Minute.

Is this based on whatever date or time range I have selected further in where you actually look at the Servers or Platforms? I'm just trying to understand how and where this data is being generated. I understand the numbers when you are in a service or platform when selecting ranges to be viewed, but I don't see a range option in the Browse Resource screen.

HQ has a concept of a global time window (for each user). The window
is visible in various parts of the app, but not in the Browse
Resources page.

When clicking on a resource, check out the bottom of the page where
it reads, "Metric Display Range". Once you change that, browsing to
other resources will also reflect the changed window.

Jon, I know all about the Metric Display Range. My question is , what is the nature of the numbers in the "Browse Resources" page, not on the actual single resource, but all of them.

Is that a snapshot of current numbers, an average, a range set in metric display range, or a peak? Look at my first post and you will see what I am talking about.

I believe these are the last values collected for those metrics.

I get what you are asking, and it looks to me like it is the last 8 hours. It is the last 8 of something for sure, because at the bottom of those charts the far right has NOW then going to the left it has -2, -4, -6, and -8.

Depends on if you are in CHART VIEW or LIST VIEW. Chart view displays miniature charts for indicator metrics for the last 8 hours. List view displays the last indicator metric values collected.
