Weblogic monitoring failure::total lack of documentation

Hi

I have several Solaris boxes each hosting a trio of Weblogic domains.
I have followed the installation instructions successfuly and deployed the agent on the Unix box and my server on my windows machine.

Hyperic HQ successfully detects the domains, however it fails to monitor any of the JMX Mbeans for ANY of the domains complaining of configuration problems.

There are no coherent set of instructions ANYWHERE that i can find that specifically says what must be done.
There are a couple of entries in the forum suggesting to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable for the agent to that of Weblgoic.

Also, oddly enough the portlet that deals with the configuration settings of Weblogic fails to persist the entries in the form.

I have double checked the passwords for weblogic console access...to no avail.

I am using the 1st 4.0 beta trial of Hyperic.

Beezer,

Try:
export HQ_JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/bea/jdk150_04
./hq-agent.sh

Hi Beezer,

I've added instructions on configuring HQ to monitor WebLogic Server here: http://support.hyperic.com/display/hypcomm/Configure+HQ+Agent+to+Monitor+WebLogic+Server

Regarding your problem with discovering JMX Mbeans, I'll investigate and update the document accordingly.
